Former director of the Russian space agency: “man did not reach the moon”

The former director of the Russian Space Agency does not believe that the man reached the Moon. Dimitri questions the feat of NASA in 1969 because he has not found evidence that American astronauts stepped on the lunar surface.

Dimitri Rogozin , former director of the Russian Space Agency, thinks that man did not reach the Moon in 1969 . The official stated on his official Telegram channel that before his arrival at Roscosmos, he requested evidence of the Apollo 11 mission.

It makes no sense to Rogozin that NASA has accomplished such a feat, since it has not been able to repeat it in fifty years.

“About ten years ago, when I was working in the government, I sent an official request to Roscosmos to provide documentary evidence of the Americans’ stay on the moon,” he said.

“I was painfully embarrassed by the fact that Soviet cosmonauts returning from multi-day expeditions could barely stand on their feet,” he said.

The former head of the space agency could not believe that Armstrong and Aldrin were moving smoothly after leaving the lunar module.

Despite his insistence, the results of the request were not as expected. Dimitri Rogozin mentioned that the agency sent him a book where cosmonaut Alexei Leonov confirmed the lunar landing .

Leonov, who could become the first Soviet to set foot on the Moon, declared that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin accomplished the feat “because they told themselves so.”

Years later, Rogozin would take control of Roscosmos and transform it into a competitive space agency. During his management, the director continued to search for evidence of the trip to the Moon, although he found nothing.

The official said the questions only earned him criticism from academics and colleagues for undermining “sacred cooperation with NASA,” as well as a call to action from a senior Russian manager.

The former head of the Roscosmos does not believe in the official version of the arrival on the Moon

According to conspiracy theories, NASA faked the Moon landing in order to win the space race against the Soviet Union . It is not surprising that Dimitri Rogozin, an old-school patriot seeking to restore the glory of the USSR, makes these kinds of statements.

During his time at the head of Roscosmos, the manager was involved in various controversies ranging from threatening to kill Elon Musk or stranding an astronaut on the International Space Station.

By virtue of my nature alone I tried to get to the bottom of the details and establish, at least for myself, the true state of affairs on the subject of Moon exploration by our competitors. It was not clear to me how the United States, at that level of technological development of the 60s of the last century, did what it still cannot do now. Dimitri Rogozin

It is important to mention that Rogozin does not doubt that Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins traveled to the Moon , but that they managed to land.

The former head of the Russian Space Agency accuses personalities such as Eugene Alexandrov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of having interests aligned with the United States .

Alexandrov, who promotes scientific knowledge through the Pseudoscience Commission, harshly criticized Rogozin when he requested proof of the moon landing in 2018.

Currently, he does not hold any position and has lost all the power he once held, although that does not prevent him from sharing his memories and theories on his Telegram channel.
